What makes the ePingo framing process stand out?
ePingo does not force you to fit your picture to a standard frame. We take the opposite approach and build the frame from the print. Frame size is determined by the print size, with allowances for visible borders and mat board. Each frame is custom made, so there is no extra charge for odd sizes. |

How long will my print last?
We use pigmented Vivera inks that will not fade for years. The addition of the gloss or lustre lamination extends the rating to 100+ years. The laminate protects the print from UV light, dirt and airborne contaminants and allows for cleaning the surface.

Photo Media Frame and Mat Board Guidelines.
When framing, it’s important to consider reflectivity, or glare, and long-term protection of your print.
ePingo recommends the following guidelines when ordering Photo prints on paper media.
Choose a photo media that reflects your style.
-
Gloss media will produce bright rich colors, but be quite reflective.
-
Satin media is a good all-round choice for any print, with bright, rich colors and medium reflectivity.
-
Black & White Photos and Art reproductions of pencil or water color prints look best on matte or Velvet Rag
-
Photo Matte does not have any reflectivity.
Protect the prints with glazing (Acrylic Plastic) or lamination.
-
Choose either Clear or Low Glare acrylic Glass
-
Gloss or satin lamination work very well with satin or gloss media.
-
Use glazing with matte media. We do not recommend lamination on photo matte.
It can make the print look washed-out.
Complement your prints using Mat Boards.
-
Small pictures should have wide mats. Wide mats will focus the eye toward the picture and make it look larger. Use wide mats to separate the framed print from a heavily patterned wall.
-
Mats should not be the same size as the frame; too small will make the picture look crowded.
-
Choose a mat board color that will complement the picture not the decor.

What is Canvas Ready to Frame?
Canvas Ready to Frame is a great way to order a canvas print that you plan to frame. The advantage of the gloss and lustre RTF prints is that they do not need glass to protect the print. The surface has a thin coat of UV protected laminate that will ensure your picture will last a long time. The coating also makes it easy to clean.
The texture of the canvas scatters the light and projects a deep color with a slight sheen. The gloss RTF prints have a medium sheen, and the lustre RTF is nearly flat. Canvas RTF prints are mounted on a 3/16” rigid Ultra board
which will keep the surface rigid. Choose a custom frame from ePingo to make your printing project complete.
Canvas Matte print no lamination:
Choose the print size, the frame style, Border size(optional), Mat Board (optional), then choose acrylic glazing. ( Double mats are available on request)
We recommend surface protection, spray or brush, to protect the print surface from scratches and environmental damage.
Canvas Gloss/Lustre RTF
Choose the Prints size, optional border size and frame style.
(You can not order a mat board with this option)

Do frames come with glass?
No, you have serval surface protection options depending on the style of the print. You can choose a clear or low glare acrylic glass (glazing) or lamination as a option. We do not include the glazing with a frame because you may prefer to use locally purchased glass or a spray-on coating to protect your print.
Are framed prints ready to hang on the wall?
Yes, they come complete with backing board and hanging kit. If your order includes glazing we will also seal the back of the print to provide a moisture and insect barrier. We do not include the wall mount hardware. |
What are my choices of mat board?
ePingo offers a limited selection of mat boards from Bainbridge and Crescent. You can select from the list while ordering or choose a custom mat board from the Nielson Bainbridge website. Double mats are available and are priced at twice the single mat board price. Please specify the color and product number in the special instructions. If you order a double mat please indicate the top mat color and bottom mat color (closest to the print) and the gap between the mat board. Default is 3/8" around.
A 2" wide mat is in fact 2 1/8" wide. The extra 1/8" of an inch is added to eliminate any white paper space from showing thru the mat board if the alignment is slightly off. Please add a border to your print if you want to display text and signatures in the border or very close to the edge of the print.
Please see Frames and Mat Board selections for more details.

How is my order packaged for shipment?
Framed prints up to external dimensions of 18 x 24 are normally shipped in corrugated boxes. All larger prints are shipped in a custom wood frame box with double corrugated cardboard sides. Due to the size and weight of the packages, FedEx Ground shipping is preferred.
We can ship frames as large as 44”x 66” (roughly), or panoramas as long as 90”, via standard ground shipping. Sizes larger than that may need to be shipped via freight, which is fairly expensive. |
ePingo wants to make sure your order arrives intact. Large Framed, gallery wrap and mounted prints are shipped in a wood framed box with double corrugated cardboard sides.
